Dead Blood City was an addicting dark crime novel mixed with a bit of fantasy. Saoirse Reilly is a Detective for the Boston Police and has mental health struggles. She has the unique ability to see into people’s pasts. While investigating a kidnapping and murder, she comes across Vampires.
The mystery and intrigue in this book kept me hooked from the first page and I really enjoyed this first installment in Saoirse’s story. This book has a bit of it all. It’s an engaging supernatural tale about family, tragedy, loneliness, and finding one’s self. It’s filled with so many unique and fascinating characters and in the case of our MC, they aren’t necessarily perfect.
Dead Blood City is a wonderful story that blends mystery, thriller, and fantasy. I’m curious to see where Saoirse’s story goes in the next book.
